I attended my first OAPT conference in the late 1980’s at the University of Guelph. Ernie McFarland was both the host and the reason I attended. Ernie’s inspired teaching during my undergraduate degree led me to become a teacher.
It was at an OAPT conference at Western in the early 2000’s that I actively became involved with the organization. Since that time, I have acted as the Newsletter editor, vice-president, and president. I have helped at summer physics camps and attended almost every conference since often as a presenter.
After a wonderful career as a high school physics teacher, I have “retired” to teach physics at the University of Guelph.
