Registration for attendees will open early February.
Join us in Kingston from Thursday, May 21 evening to Saturday, May 23rd noon, 2026 for OAPT’s 48th Annual Conference!
Like all other years, we gather to collaborate, listen, talk and share as Physics and Science educators in high school, college and university. This year, Queen’s University is graciously hosting us on their campus.
The theme of the conference is Dive into Data! We want to celebrate data in all its forms: evidence that informs pedagogy, measurements collected in labs/activities, or large open-source datasets ready for exploration. We look forward to experiencing it all!

Some ideas about how to get funding
Ask your principal if they will cover your supply teacher for the day(s) you will be absent. Ask us for a letter of support to give your administrator using the Questions form below.
Ask your school’s union rep if your local has professional development grants. Usually these grants cannot be used to cover supply teachers. For example:
Limestone (OSSTF District 27)
Ottawa-Carleton (OSSTF District 25)
Simcoe (OSSTF District 17)
Ask your school board (Science Consultant/Coordinator) if they have funds to support professional development grants.
If you have exhausted these potential sources and still want to attend the conference, we do have limited funds to help subsidize these costs. Fill in this form to further the conversation. The deadline for requesting subsidy is April 17, 2026.
We look forward to seeing you there!
