I joined the OAPT soon after starting at Bell High School. I consider it one of the most beneficial things I have done. At my first meeting I was recruited into the executive circle and have continued to work with this group ever since. Through OAPT I gained motivation and skills, ideas and friendships that have been life lasting. As section rep for OAPT I became involved in AAPT and made contacts that later led me to move to the US where I had the opportunity to build a program from scratch with no curriculum mandated. This was completely different experience to what I had seen in Ontario. I feel I am a much better and well-rounded teacher than I would otherwise have been because of my involvement with OAPT. I thank the OAPT for all it has done for me.

I am an avid home renovator, backpacker, mountain trekker and animal lover.
