SNOLAB & Perimeter Institute Teacher Workshop

This 2-day workshop for high school physics teachers will explore the mysteries of dark matter, dark energy, exoplanets, and subatomic physics. It will be held at SNOLAB in Sudbury, ON on October 12th and 13th.

This workshop will introduce teachers to several resources developed by Perimeter Institute to bring cutting-edge topics into the high school science classroom. The resources feature interactive activities that will engage students and connect standard curriculum to current topics at the forefront of research. It includes an optional tour of SNOLAB, Canada’s deep underground laboratory for astroparticle physics.

Friday October 12th, 9:00am - 4:00pm
Hands on workshops delivered by Perimeter Institute.

Saturday October 13th, 7:00am - 2:00pm
Underground lab tour (optional) followed by a lunch and learn with a SNOLAB researcher.

Teacher coverage is available upon request. The workshop is free to attend but accommodation and travel are not included. Workshops will be delivered in English but resources will be available in both English and French.
